Nadia Millington

Dr Nadia Millington is a Senior Lecturer at the LSE and has served as the inaugural Deputy Director of the LSE’s Masters in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the past Deputy Director of LSE’s Innovation and Co-creation Lab. Her passion is in the area of Open Innovation (innovation through others) and Social Entrepreneurship – building business with a raison d’etre to do social good in a financially sustainable way. Her PhD is based on defining the underlying mechanisms driving failure of multinationals to serve the poorest markets in India. Her experience dealing with poverty in India, combines with her involvement in social enterprises in Brazil, Bangladesh, Nairobi etc., further fuelled a passion to focus on generating innovative business solutions to the world’s most pressing social problems. Prior to taking up her academic role, Nadia worked as a strategy consultant advising over 20 boards and C-suite executives in both the UK and the Caribbean. Nadia holds a PhD and MSc from the LSE, MBA from the University of Bath, and BSc from the University of the West Indies, has spoken at many global forums and has been published in Forbes Magazine.
